With its various purposes, juniper oil is still one of the most widely used essential oils throughout the history of herbal medicine. It is a popular stress reliever, antiseptic, astringent, digestive stimulant, and nerve strengthener.
But medicinal purposes aside, juniper oil possesses great cosmetic wonders. It is present in bath oils, soaps, and makeup among others. Indeed, juniper oil can treat many skin problems like acne and dermatitis. For your hair and scalp problems, you can also count on it.
Highly concentrated with a strong woody aroma, juniper oil can be extracted through distilling the berries of juniper. Juniper is an evergreen shrub and tree that grows up to a height of 25 feet. It is very distinguishable with its needle-shaped leaves with striking white and yellow-green stripes and small berry-like fruits with bluish black or violet color.

For the second recipe, you will need 20 drops of juniper oil and 6 drops of olive oil. Mix both oils well and store it in a dark bottle. Use this as a hair tonic to prevent further hair loss and reverse any damage. Additionally, this will help get rid of product build-up and dandruff.
Note: Use the oil at least twice a week, depending on the severity of your condition. Be sure to include a scalp massage when using the oil for maximum results. Massaging the scalp will encourage better blood flow to the scalp, thus promoting hair growth.
